I remember a time in high school when I turned in a research paper using only three resources. My science teacher heavily criticized me for this and rightfully so. How can a person profess to have sound knowledge of their subject matter with such a pittance of resources? Yet many people believe that the ‘holy book of their chosen religion’ (a single reference) is proof beyond a shadow of a doubt that what they say is true.
