You’ll get plenty of gods when you believe that a lightening bolt is a spear from an angry higher power, when you believe that earthquakes, floods and plagues originate from upset boogeymen, or when you believe that a mere human can possess supernatural powers. It might make for fun science fiction but it’s nowhere near the truth.
