I do not agree with other atheists who wonder: "why, if God is so great and loving, did he create Satan just to tempt us". If you ask any christian (for example) with half a brain, they'll tell you that God made Satan to give us a choice, and then their head will inflate with self-importance and we dont want that.

What I don't understand, is that if God gave us a choice, why does he (or at least why does the bible say he will) punish us if we believe in another God? If there is really only one God, and he loves all his children, I can't see why he would pick and choose only a few people to have knowledge of him. In which case, no matter which God I worship, I should still go to heaven because I am still ultimately worshipping him.
