Why would an omnipotent and loving God, given carte blanche, create a life form whose utter existence was dependent on eating other life form and, for good measure, create a nervous system so that the eating of that life form would cause unimaginable pain – and the eaten life form being the innocent and harmless herbivores that all get on peacefully together, as God wishes us all to.
