Theists have a long history of wrongly demonizing atheists. They also automatically assume that their beliefs must be respected. If some pompous theist complains that you, as an atheist, are disrespectful of their beliefs, you can counter with: “You disrespect my beliefs, therefore I disrespect yours. Turn about is fair play. You must give respect to get respect. Besides, your beliefs are just batshit crazy!”
