If he wasn't the pope, would his opinon matter? But then, he is the head of the very same church who protects pedophiles. I could care less what a person who puts religion above the welfare of people has to say. The day the Pope cures HIV/AIDS by waving his hand over a pile of crackers is the day I'll consider his opinion as anything more than socially irresponsible and delusional balderdash. He should just stick to being driven around waving and smiling. He isn't qualified to do anything else. Or maybe we should ask witchdoctors for their opinions as well. They would be just as legitimate.
