You speak of "the hope that Jesus offers" but so easily forget it is Jesus(who is god) who allowed for the defaulted hell humans belong to, to even exist. So the hope you say he offers, saves you from the hell he created in the first place.

Compare this to say, an identity thief, who steals your identity, and then only after ruining your name and credit score, calls you with advice and financial planning services for a price.
