If you were to remove god & religion for just a few moments & in that silent gap you were able to perceive reality as it actually is. The world would be exactly the same but you would realize just how staggeringly amazing it is that humans & planet earth exist in the first place (nothing to do with god or religion) reality is even more mind boggling than you could ever imagine & for this reason most people cannot grasp this existential situation. Reality is so incredible we cannot cope with it. So we have invented god & religion as our comfort blanket to make us feel safe. Reality is scary beyond words.
