Life didn't exist by "chance," but instead it came to existence because of the natural world of the universe, which has nothing to do with any supernatural beliefs. Thanks to the help of things such as comets and supernovas, life had potential of appearing on earth billion of years ago, and probably elsewhere far beyond our comprehension.
