I do not want to convert anybody to atheism, neither do I care what they believe. I did not bring my children up as atheists, they are intelligent and worked it out for themselves. I never told them that if they didn't believe in the things I did they would have some dreadful thing happen to them. I left them free to work it out themselves. I do not need the rest of the herd to be atheists or those around me. I am comfortable believing that I am part of the universe, that this is my brief period of being aware of that universe and that those who don't share my view are free not to. I just wish that people that do believe in god would afford me, their own children and everybody else the same respect. The fact that they seldom do is in my humble opinion the most obvious sign of their own anxiety.
