Reading the bible CAN and has turned me into an atheist. Even if I could believe that the Christian god exists, I would never want to worship or praise such a being who goes around breaking his own commandments and ordering pregnant women cut open with swords or young virgins given to soldiers of Israel as spoils of war. Christians call this "loving" when in the old testament this god makes Hitler look like Captain Kangaroo. If Hitler had become nice after his atrocities, should he have been forgiven by society and patted on the back and called "loving?" Or should he have been hanged for the blood he spilt? In my opinion the Christian god deserves no better for slaughtering almost all the life on this planet.
