We live in a society that promotes "freedom of choice". We can choose what programs we want to watch on the TV, what movies, what music we love to listen to, what books we wish to read, but before these items are available, they go through the Offices of Censorship and some are banned because of ethics. I have one question though....why has one book, in today’s modern society, [*that contains a warrant for trafficking in humans, for ethnic cleansing, for slavery, for bride-price, and for indiscriminate massacre, promotes violence, is irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, bigotry and homophobia, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children*], been allowed to be released into society without scrutiny of censorship and its unethical content? This book is commonly called "The Bible"...apparently, it is sold on the premise to promote love and peace....this one slipped though the cracks BIG time!
Note: Paragraph within brackets and asterisks[* *] is borrowed from Christopher Hitchens "God is Not Great.
