The English word faith is thought to date back to 1200-1250, from the Middle English feith. Faith can best be described as a strong belief in God and the doctrines and teachings of religion – based on spiritual, mystical, magical, paranormal and supernatural convictions, rather than on any scientific proof or evidence.
