The single feeling that is in the core of all men of God is Revenge. No matter how much forgiveness they may show, ultimately they seek retribution in the form of hell to their adversary. For they demand torture which they could not inflict due to their own weakness, this time by someone else acting on their behalf who is omnipotent. For they called their impotence the will of God and manifestation of power as oppression forgetting that in their theory they have just reversed the role, erecting a new kingdom where they are now masters. They now seek will to power.

when in the course of questioning faith. The null hypothesis's application is imperative. You must start by thinking the logical... There is no divine entity, then evaluate manufactured religions. What I don't particularly appreciate is that people use principles from a book(bible, Torah, Quran, etc) to justify their faith. Like thinking past logic. Man can reason for a reason. To be honest, most people's parents force religion upon them until "believing" in it is the norm. YOU Just have to THINK not WANT. It's funny to see how far religion was taken, it really is. FEAR is the motive.

If Believers' parents told them about science and justification, and then fifteen years later they picked up a bible, they'd say what a load of bull shit, and Vice Versa. Some just want to rebel, some want to seek further answers for that is how we move forward as a race, by opening our eyes, and seeking logical explanations as to how we got here today and what we need to do to remain in existance in years to come, after all that is how we carry out every other aspect of our life. I see a pizza covered with what appears to be human feces, and another with Pepperonis, I reach for the pepperoni pizza because it seems logical to eat(absorb) something that didn't come out of an ass. |

If God was real "He" would be a right git for letting good people die. It hurts me that people should suffer and if it's all "His" fault, I want "Him" dead. |

Silly christians who say their "god is love" obviously have not read the buy-bull. He's one evil SOB! The greatest "love god" humankind ever invented was Aphrodite...and she was a GODDESS! |

| Benjamin Bowden |
God is perfect with no possibility of being wrong. He has had to kill his children multiple times because of their inadequate creation. Both must be true therefor God exists only in our mind. If god cant make mistakes we certainly made one when we created him. |

People try to sound so clever when they are talking badly about atheism but most of them their only argument is from where did atoms colide (how did they start), well the most asked question in religion is how did god come you ALSO dont know, but at least scientists are trying to find it out, unlike religion who say it is bad to think of questions like this! that is living blind sided, controlled not really aware of what you are believing in! |

we believe in god; and imaginary being who we share joyous stories about and is supposed to make great things happen. isn't that basically like believing in Santa Clause? |

Once I heard a woman say: "Whatever man creates God will eventually take over in the form of nature." That is the lamest excuse I have ever heard, and I'm sure if I asked her why the sky was blue, she would tell me it was because it's God's favorite color. |

FormerAtheist>> So what does it take to accept something? faith? Without proof then its non-existent, just like other gods and mythical creatures. If I kill you right now and said god made me do it, will you accept it based on your faith without asking for "proof"? |
|
| ANDY THE ATHEIST |
If there was ever proof that a "god" was real then religion would fall apart, because religion is based on faith. Faith can only exist without the knowledge of truth. Therfore once a "god" is real ther is no need for faith and hence no need for religion. You make the mistake of thinking that your belief is knowledge, well i have news for you my friend it most certainly is not. |

Sorin Rusu |
Hey, be careful! Andy, Anthony...you guys know how fragile our belief system is. Don't ask for proof! We might get converted. :))))) |

Non-theists do the right thing because it's the right thing to do, not because they fear a hellish punishment if they don't or expect a heavenly reward if they do. |

I don't get the logic behind an all knowing god who needs to test his creations since he knows what the results would be anyways. Maybe he's waiting for a miracle to happen. |

Doug McLeod noted: "I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence."
I would add that cathedrals, mosques, minarets, temples, synagogues and most other high and mighty places of worship also take precautions against lightning storm and tempest.
God really is a pain, isn't he? All this expenditure on these needlessly opulent places of worship - PLUS this added expense due to powers that SHOULD be under their control - could be put to much better use, like feeding the hungry and housing the homeless.

The fundie preacher can thump his fist down on the lectern and scream as loudly and as often as he likes that "evolution is a lie" and that God created the world in six days 6,000 years ago... Meanwhile, life will go on blindly evolving as it always has done, and ignore him. |
|
| Tim Nelson |
Let’s propose a truce between creationists and scientists: creationists will agree to accept human intelligence evolved; scientists will agree to accept that religious stupidity was created in God’s image. |

Further to Anonymous: Our daughter is a carer and had to visit an old man who'd been born deaf and dumb and then turned blind at a very young age. Imagine the world that he lives in. But some goddists' would maintain that he maybe deserved to be so inflicted because of something his ancestors did.
Not to labour any sardonic humour but maybe the goddists' are themselves deaf, dumb and blind when it comes to healthy reasoning. |
