The theist, in the most simplistic of terms, says: "I have a problem believing that nothing created something! I find it much easier to believe that something created something out of nothing!"
Which leads me to ask the question: "What or who created that something that created something out of nothing?"

To say I am a prideful, superior Atheist is a definite understatement. As to why I feel this way about myself I shall further explain. My purpose in writing this is I am in hopes that some dumb Christian catches wind of it.[It may actually set them straight.] How our existence came to be involves absolutely NO INTELLIGENT design.[so get off it.]We are all here by PURE chance and nothing more.[ Even though our mere THINKING about reality presupposes that there is a correspondence between our mind and reality and science operates with this assumption.] Society gives way to much credit to Einstein's theory "the incomprehensible comprehensibility" of the universe. How his theory of relativity ,worked out STRICTLY with mathematical formulas"fits"reality doesn't matter. The success of his theory means that physical reality has the mathematical structure Einstein worked out, thus he didn't impose it on reality:he discovered it. Saying the world was "mind like" before a mind like Einstein"s ever came along to see it. My Atheist mind says differently.[Ya, Einstein has nothing on me.] Chance CAN produce mathematical formulas. It can produce minds that know how to work them. It's amazing, I know, because our minds are nothing more than"chemicals in motion",hence any truth we think we may discover amounts to nothing more than a brute chemical reaction, and thus has no more truth than, say,a burp. Chemical reactions are all equal on this score, regardless of how complex.[Ya,Einstein's theory was nothing more than a complex burp] Who needs intelligent design when you have this to rest your head on at night. Oh,dumb Christians and billions of other spiritual believers who believe they were actually created to be 'special' and 'unique' through a intelligent 'force'. How wrong you are. I'm proud to say Atheists did not need any Intelligence to create them.

The more we (as a species) learn about the Cosmos, the more we are educated and develop the ability to think for ourselves and have the ability to freely express those ideas and question the dogma and superstitions of the past, the more religious authority is threatened and the weaker it gets. The firework of the enlightenment has been lit, and once you light a firework you can never go back. |

We may be just humble men (and women) but we are more mighty than the mightiest of gods.
Gods don't plant bombs and poison in the bodies and mouths of men (and women), they haven't the wherewithal. MAN does god's work. MAN cures the sick. MAN kills!!!
No god has power to do anything. Those who fear god are fearful of themselves and MAN. |

The insanity of religion–the delusion of life beyond death-- is often preferred to the futility implied by the finite--in consciousness, in the species, and in the solar system itself. It is unsettling to realize not only that the bulk of mankind is insane, but that it is likely to remain so. |

The supreme arrogance of religious thinking: that a carbon-based bag of mostly water on a speck of iron-silicate dust around a boring dwarf star in a minor galaxy in an underpopulated local group of galaxies in an unfashionable suburb of a supercluster would look up at the sky and declare, 'It was all made so that I could exist! |

Think rational about everything that you believe, don't take someone elses word for it, don't believe just because your parents told you to, research your believes and make a decision based on evidence and that is all you can ask of yourself, and you will be proud of your decision and will stick by it, until new evidence arises. |
