As an atheist family we love our mid-winter festival; tree, decorations and all. And we call it Christmas! We even sometimes go into lovely buildings (churches) and listen to some beautiful music and singing. Doesn't mean we have to go along with all the religious nonsense though. We just enjoy it for what it is.
You don't have to believe in aliens to enjoy a good sci-fi film.
