Jesus was born of a virgin, Jesus dies on the cross then Jesus turns into a zombie and that is the foundation for the largest religion on earth. Imagine the Earth approx 2000 years ago, a woman approaches a man and says. Hi Joe how are you? Joe replies not bad mary doll and you? Mary doll says i have some great news joe i'm pregnant, but your not the fa.... at that precise moment in time she would have been hit with the first stone of many that would end her life and the life of the fetus. Judaism, Christianity, and Islamic beliefs come from a very large, violent book. The book, from a literary standpoint, tells many short stories of a variety of supposed stories , though it remains inconsistent in places, it forms and epic tale of many heroes loving, fighting evil, worshiping and winning, but like any epic novel it comes to an end, happy and sad. But at the end of the day, it is just another story book, just another group of short stories that tell nice little moral lessons of an age of about 2 millenia ago - where it is perfectly okay to throw out two of your daughters to a group of rapists over two strangers - but in the end, it is nothing but a story. |
