This is not any proof of anything, but how can you say any one Religion is important when there is literally thousands of other religions just like yours, with followers who believe just as much as you, have just as much proof as you, yet you still somehow say, with no second thoughts, that yours is right, beyond all rational thinking. This of course is absurd to any sane person. To top it off, any one who is brought up without encountering religion, will always remain an Atheist, just showing that this thing we call religion is completely fake and man made. Religious peoples favourite attack on evolution is, they say, that even bacteria are too perfect to have come about by chance. However, science has proven this wrong by showing that life can start from complex polymers with approximately a 1 billionth percent chance of being created. Despite this being seemingly improbable at first glance, you must realise that on early earth the conditions were just right so that millions of these "experiments" were going on every minute. So looking at it from a rational and mathematical point of view, it was actually highly likely for life to have come about by chance. With this in mind, realise that the only credible argument the theists have, have has been dismantled by me, a mere child. That is how fragile the theistic argument is. |

Religion and god was made up a long time ago since humans didn't know how to explain the things around with them. It also was used before to believe in the after life, but now the whole point of religion and god is to control people, have more power, and have an excuse to do crimes. I'm atheist but I still think that everybody should be able to believe in whatever they want to believe in, even if they want to believe a cat is their mom. |

According to the Buy-bull, Jesus says in Matthew 6,vs 5-6 that Christians who pray in public are "hypocrites" and that they should go into their closet and pray is secret. Why is it that most Christians totally disregard what their "savior" has told them to do? They pray in church, at sports events and before town council meetings, for everyone to see. They are either ignorant of what their "holy book" says or perhaps they believe it's ok to be hypocrite. |

@XYZ, ur example of the age of earth, simply makes no sense at all, laws are man made attempts to control problems they dont know the solution to, even with the millions of laws there are today,(including religious laws),people still act as "animals", so laws arent the solution, and u need to brush up on "human behavior". And lastly, if humans need to stop thinking, why would your god, give us a brain?....seems oxymoronic, he shouldve left that part of the body empty if were to be mindless slaves to your "torah".....very sad ;) |

Many defenders of religion forget exactly what it is that they are saying - They are saying that a being which can do literally anything, including things clearly impossible when logic is applied (ie. hear everybody's thoughts at once, be everywhere while not effecting anything, turn water molecules into wine molecules etc) is a better explanation for the mysteries of the Universe than 'we don't know yet'. |

It's TOTALLY reasonable to believe that an 850 yr old man, walked up a mountain alone, stayed there 40 days and nights, (without FOOD OR WATER) where he received 10 commandments from God. He then chiseled them onto two large stone tablets,and carried these HEAVY tablets down the mountain, where he told his people they are the word of God, that they MUST obey or be condemned after death, to be sent to a fiery hell, filled with demons, for all eternity!
