Theists really should take in the work of Hans Christian Anderson. His "The Emperor's New Clothes" says everything that should ever need saying about how the mass of the people can be wrong.

Diane Fadden |
As for not putting our names with our quotes because quotes from greater people are already posted here...what do you suppose made those people great? Two things. They didn't follow the herd blindly and without question, trusting as little children or a sheep would, and as Jesus teaches in the bible people should. And two, they spoke out. They fought for separation of church and state and the exact kind of religious persecution we are seeing alive and well (unfortunately) still today, the kind of superstitious, primitive thinking that we should have snuffed out decades ago. |
|
Diane Fadden |
If god knows everything then he made us flawed knowing he was making us flawed...so he did it on purpose..then punished us for being flawed creations...then sent Jesus to make it all better again. Wouldn't it have just been easier to make us right in the first place? Or better yet...just skip the part when god makes Satan?

How come "spreading the good news" is good, positive and admirable but listing the reasons why i think it isn't true, is bad? If it is what you genuinely think is true, don't you want to tell someone? Isn't it arrogant of me to say what I think must be true...implying what you think isn't? Then why is it ok and good and admirable for the religious to do this to non-believers? Why is one called witnessing and the other "hating god?" |

Anthony W. Allsop (Genesis) (admin) |
Jesus never did come out, Clint. Though many have had their suspicions.

Theists ARE evolving. It's just that they need more time than the atheists. |
|
Diane Fadden |
Two bums on a railroad track, one with no legs, the other, a Christian. The train is coming--roaring down upon them. One drops to his knees to pray--the other throws himself from his wheelchair and starts struggling with his arms to get off the tracks. Never fear, atheists. Survival of the fittest. Natural selection. One day (I like to hope) they'll be extinct. |

Anthony W. Allsop (Genesis) (admin) |
Again it is Easter and again we find the idea of the existence of God challenged.

The authors of the bible made some outrageous claims and statements passed off as fact, that if the same were attempted today, they would be scoffed at and ridiculed and probably committed to a psychiatric ward of the local hospital for their own safety.. |

Dear christian, imagine the news paper carries the headline " New tablet can make people invisible" imagine this news is also on every major news network, imagine your own family are all talking about this new tablet excitedly, Imagine your most trusted friends and colleagues claim to have seen this tablet make a man turn invisible, imagine every single person you talk to speaks only of this new tablet capable of doing this. So i must ask, do you yourself believe in this tablet? do you just accept that its there without ever seeing any proof of it whatsoever? Surely not? surely such an extraordinary claim would require extraordinary evidence? |

People think 2000 years is a long time. It takes our sun 225 million years just to make 1 lap around our galaxy. So if one lap=one hour, then dinosaurs were around 40min, humans 40 seconds. The universe is 13.8 billion years old. People think that life is organized and therefore had to have a creator because what are the odds that we evolved? Well, what were the odds that I could have won the 680 million power ball this week? 3 people had winning tickets. |

If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we've got to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition, and then admit that we just don't want to do it. |
